Dr. Adrienne Hester joins Fairlawn Family Practice

When you first meet Dr. Adrienne Hester, you’ll see right away she is a people person.  That’s why she chose to become a family doctor — so she could know and care for family members of all ages.

We at Fairlawn Family Practice are thrilled this exceptionally talented young physician has joined our staff.

“I wanted to be part of Fairlawn Family Practice because the doctors here still do rounds at the hospital,” Dr. Hester said.  “Continuity of care is so important to patients.”

Dr. Hester is especially interested in wellness education and disease prevention.  She even completed non-required research relating to diabetes education while a resident at Akron General Medical Center, where she received the Betty A. Dalton Resident of the Year Award.  Her finding: That patients recruited for group diabetic visits had greater knowledge about the disease than those who met individually with their doctors.

Dr. Hester graduated in the top 25 of her class The Ohio State College of Medicine.   Her bachelor’s degree is in neurobiology from Purdue University, where she maintained a 3.77 Grade Point Average while also finding time to serve as president of the Purdue Fencing Club.

Dr. Hester lives in Hudson her husband, Jeff Hester.  She enjoys running, hiking and playing soccer.  Her birthplace is the town of in southern Indiana near the Kentucky border.  Click here to learn more about Dr. Hester.
